The “Acculoader” can handle any type of solid bulk material and reduces the cycle time it takes to fill an intermodal container to less than 30 minutes with one or two people. Traditional methods for loading container has been using a skid steer loader running up a ramp and scooping material into a container. This method may take several hours and often results in container weights that vary significantly, making for more expensive per-ton costs. This results into a more profitable endeavor for a transload facility.
Further, the “Acculoader” does not have to weigh the load after each pass. A company can transfer roughly up to 60,000 pounds of material in two quick, articulated moves. And the inclusion of scales in the loader means that a company can have the container accurate to within 20 pounds. This allows a company to maximize the container’s load. The more weight we can get on a container, the more profitable it is downstream for the customer.
